We are seeking a full time Day Treatment Therapist  trained in various treatment modalities such as Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy and Family Systems therapy to oversee the Day Treatment program in the Camden school district Elementary and Middle schools. Day Treatment is a school-based behavioral health service for students in need of a more intensive treatment than outpatient therapy. This position is central to the success of day treatment services in schools. The clinician treats children, problem-solves when challenges arise and supports the team in providing excellence and care.

Schedule is based on the school schedule, with this being a 10 month position. There is the opportunity to work per diem in the summer.

Responsibilities

  • As Day Treatment Therapist, you will work in the educational setting to  decrease disruptive behavior, increase focus, assist students in exhibiting age appropriate classroom behavior, and other emotional/behavioral needs.
  •  You will  provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy to K-8 students and their families within the Camden area community.
  • Supervision and specialization training in early childhood treatment available
  • You will also act as a liaison between program and family consulting with them and to school staff regarding the evidence-based treatment needs and behavioral interventions that best support the child’s needs.
  •   You will supervise BHPs.
  •  The clinician ensures the accurate and timely maintenance of clinical records.
  •  If schedules and time allows, you may providing outpatient therapy on site at the schools for kids not in day treatment.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Counseling Education, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing, or Social Work
  • Experience: 2 years of experience with children and families
  • Certification: LCPC-C, LCPC, LMFT, RN-C, LMSW-CC, LCSW
