The primary purpose of the person in this position is to assist in the recruitment, assessment, training and licensing prospective foster parents and provide ongoing support, assessment and retention of licensed foster parents.  Ensure foster home licenses maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines for foster care placement.

Administrative support to Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care Program.


  • Complete initial licensing requirements and submitting recommendation for license to DCF
  • Conduct annual relicensing requirements according to state and contractual requirements
  • Provide ongoing support and assessment for licensed foster homes and advocacy
  • Provide assistance and support for foster parents and CPI’s during investigations concerning possible abuse/neglect
  • Tracking foster homes through FSFN including implementation of the Unified Home Study through FSFN on all initial and relicensure studies
  • Administrative duties inclusive of foster parent payroll, ECA contract requirements specific to child placement, corporate reporting, and quality improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science,  Human Services or Child Related field
  • Child Welfare Certification Required
  • MAPP Trainer Certification  (will achieve in year two of position)
