Mountain Home Academy is seeking Education Director. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Education Director will oversee the delivery of Education services to students on-site, is a member of the treatment team and will work to ensure that educational services are integrated into treatment. Directly and indirectly supervises all teachers, provides services to students and develops programs. Responsible for student educational records, recording of test scores, etc. Sequel TSI of Idaho services adjudicated adolescents, ages 10 - 18, with severe emotional and behavioral disorders and sexual disorders.

Job Duties
Plans academic and behavioral programming and scheduling (curriculum planning).
Counseling students about academic and behavioral goals and problems.
Making daily academic assignments for students based on their learning levels and need for review in certain areas.
Evaluate the daily academic progress of each student through examining written work, and reviewing the amount of proficiency exhibited: Monthly progress notes.
Holding conferences and counsel with students and/or parents either individually or jointly.
Planning academic lessons and individualized educational programs.
Evaluates student's academic progress through initial and informal tests to assess a student's academic levels and needs for review in subjects.
Shows initiative in providing alternatives in working with student's behavioral and academic problems.

Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
One to two years related experience working with at-risk youth is preferred
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Products and operating systems.
Current State of Idaho Teacher's Certification
